A PAIR of city centre car parks are set to receive new signs in a bid to make them more accessible to visitors.
St Martin’s Gate multi-storey will have its sign placed on the brick wall at the front of the site and Croft Road will have a double-sided one placed on the corner of the road.
The decisions were both unanimously approved by councillors at Worcester’s planning committee meeting last Thursday (September 18) which also decided the existing county council sign on Croft Road would be removed.
Information on the number of spaces, pay and display, disabled access and where it is will all be provided on the boards.
Coun Roger Berry, of the Gorse Hill ward, said: “I think it’s a great idea, it’s a long time since we have had this discussion.
“A question that comes up is, is it visible from the road and most of us say no, so I think it’s a good idea and will assist people in finding the spaces.”
