Child passenger treated at the scene of Henwick Road and Oldbury Road crash

AMBULANCE chiefs have revealed a child was also involved in the crash between a car and motorbike at the junction of Oldbury Road and Henwick Road.

The youngster was a passenger in the car driven by a woman who was treated for non-serious injuries at the scene before being taken to the Worcestershire Royal by ambulance. The youngster was assessed and discharged at the scene.

A 46-year-old male motorcyclist from Carmarthenshire died following the collision at the busy St Johns junction on Monday lunchtime.

Three ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham were sent to the scene.




Crews discovered the motorcyclist in a critical condition and administered life support at the scene.

However nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.


Police have launched an appeal for witnesses to Monday’s crash
