Charity’s coffers get an Elf boost

Worcester Editorial 11th Dec, 2019   0

FUND-RAISERS at Worcester Bosch showed their support for the Alzheimer’s Society’s ‘National Dress as an Elf Day’ to spread a little festive cheer in order to help beat dementia.

With thousands of people depending on the Alzheimer’s Society for the support they need to live well, the fund-raiser aims to help the charity to continue funding research, support services and campaigning in order to keep dementia at the top of the political agenda.

The colleagues at the UK’s leading boiler manufacturer have chosen Alzheimer’s as their company charity this year so it was even more important to join in. The Clay Cross plant set up a competition whereby five members of staff were put up for the vote to decide who would be dressing as an elf.

Sue Pennington from Worcester Bosch, said: “Our colleagues at Clay Cross got into the spirit and visited the special JustGiving page to donate and vote for their.

“By pledging our support to Elf Day we’re committing to helping to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society to ensure they can continue the great work they do in being there for people affected by dementia.”
