Charity says bank cash will go a long way

A BANK in Worcester has raised more than £3,500 for the Stroke Association.

Staff at Lloyds Banks across the city came together for a quiz night at St Peter’s Garden Centre to raise money for their charity of the year.

Andy Cole, Relationship Manager at Lloyds Bank, said: “Since stroke hit a close member of my family in 2014, I have tried to educate as many people as I can about the condition. I’m proud to support the Stroke Association in their goal of conquering stroke.”

Katrin Winstanley, Events Manager at the Stroke Association in the West Midlands, said: “Without the efforts of fundraisers like the staff at Lloyds Bank, we wouldn’t be able to support the 120,000 people in the West Midlands who are currently living with the devastating effects of stroke, as well as their families and carers.

“We’re really grateful to the team for their fantastic fundraising efforts. The money raised will go a long way in helping to conquer stroke.”
