Celebrating all things Worcester

Worcester Editorial 2nd Feb, 2019   0

A CELEBRATION of the city’s shared history, creativity, culture and innovation from the prehistoric to the mid-20th Century will return next month.

The annual Love Worcester festival will be staged from February 14 to 24 at 13 venues across the city and visitors can sample a variety of activities from live re-enactments and special exhibitions to chances to get crafty and engaging tours.

An opportunity to discover new experiences for all ages is on offer during the celebrations at heritage venues across Worcester.

Together the combined forces of the Cathedral, Worcester Art Gallery and Museum, the Hive, Masonic Museum, Tudor House, Greyfriars, the Commandery, St Swithins, All Saints, St Helens in the High Street, St Martins in the Cornmarket, the Infirmary and the George Marshall Medical Museum have been bringing this extraordinary festival to life for the past seven years.

Chair of the Worcester Heritage Partnership and manager of Tudor House Tonia Collett, said: “This incredible event has been growing in success and ambition since 2012.

“By bringing all the heritage venues and historic buildings together, we can fully celebrate Worcester’s unique and world-class history, bringing it to life for everyone.”

Leaflets and more information about the event can be picked up at the Tourist Information Centre at the Guildhall.
