Worcester Editorial 16th Jan, 2017   0

CCTV footage has been released after jewellery and a set of antique dessert knives and forks were stolen during a burglary in Worcester.

The burglars are believed to have forced their way into the property on College Green through a rear window sometime between 12pm and 2pm on Tuesday (January 3).

An old gold fob watch with a bloodstone seal, a gold pendant set with pearls, and a circular silver broach with shoots of leaves are believed to have been taken.

A set of antique dessert knives and forks with mother of pearl handles in a case measuring approximately 10 ins by 8 ins were also reportedly stolen from the property.

Officers investigating the burglary would like to speak to the man pictured as they believe he may have information which could help with their enquiries.

Police are also keen for anyone who witnessed the incident, saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time, and who is offered the items – or items matching that description – for sale to get in touch.

Anyone with information is urged to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 333S of January 4.

Alternatively information can be passed on anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their website.
