RESIDENTS and staff at a Worcester care home set out on a one-mile walk around the local area to raise £120 for the Alzheimer’s Society.
A number of staff and residents from Care UK’s Perry Manor, on Charles Hastings Way, enjoyed the great outdoors with a ‘Memory Walk’ after residents wanted to help the charity and raise awareness about the illness.
The ‘Memory Walk’ scheme, set up by the Alzheimer’s Society, helps fund vital research by encouraging walkers to unite against dementia and host their own walk.
Starting from the home, residents were joined by family, friends and team members for the walk around Worcester.
Those donning their walking boots were cheered on along the route by the home team and residents.
