A WORCESTER care home is inviting residents to a party to celebrate its second anniversary and ‘Care Home Open Day’.
Staff and residents at Perry Manor Care Home are hosting the family fun party on Friday (June 17) where there will be an array of activities for people of all ages to enjoy, including balloon volley ball and a tombola.
The Charles Hastings Way care home will also host live entertainment from The Jookulele Band and offer visitors healthy eating advice for the elderly.
The anniversary celebration coincides with Care Home Open Day, an annual scheme aimed at challenging the perceptions of care homes, creating lasting links between the homes, residents and their local communities and developing relationships across all generations.
Pushpa Sagoo, home manager at Perry Manor said: “Since we first opened our doors in June 2014, we’ve welcomed a total of 193 residents for long-term or respite care.
“There has been so many highlights over the last year and our second anniversary is a very exciting milestone for everyone. We’re privileged to have the opportunity to care for the wonderful residents who have made Perry Manor their home and to provide support to their families.
“The party is a big thank you to our residents, their families and friends, as well as the amazing staff who endeavour to provide the best possible care all year round.”
“We cannot wait to showcase everything Perry Manor has to offer. We’ve planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of Worcester.”
The event will run from 2pm to 5pm.
