Care home holds open day

Worcester Editorial 15th Jun, 2017   0

A WORCESTER care home will be opening its doors to city residents for a day of summer fun.

Perry Manor on Charles Hastings Way is hosting a summer garden party on Friday, from 1.30pm until 4pm, as part of the celebrations for the UK-wide Care Home Open day.

There will be a number of activities, including a tin can alley, giant Jenga and live 1950s music.

Care Open Day is held each year to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.

Katherine Matthews, home manager at Perry Manor, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents through lasting relationships with the local community across the generations.

“We cannot wait to open our doors to the community to showcase everything Perry Manor has to offer and the difference care homes make to residents’ lives and their wellbeing. We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of Worcester.”
