GENEROUS Asda shoppers dug deep and helped members of the Worcester Troop in the Hereford and Worcester Army Cadet Force raise a staggering £1,174.99 for Help for Heroes.

The cash boost was raised during a national collection weekend held by the supermarket giant and Ian Baldry, Help for Heroes Worcestershire County Co-ordinator praised the cadets for their efforts.

“Their presence and enthusiasm had a very significant impact on the total amount raised. I am most grateful to Lt James Edwards not only for his active participation during the weekend but also making the necessary arrangements for the attendance of the cadets,” he said.

Worcester Troop,Hereford and Worcester Army Cadet Force parade between 7pm and 9.30pm at their base at Great Western Avenue, off Midland Road.
