Can you volunteer for this year's Worcester Festival?

Worcester Editorial 17th Jul, 2022   0

A RALLYING call has been issued for volunteers to step forward and play their part in this year’s Worcester Festival.

The city’s 17 day celebration kicks off on Saturday, August 13 and is now on the lookout for helpers who can spare an hour or two or several days at a time.

As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to help with a variety of tasks from handing out event guides, marshalling bands, escorting Percy the Peacock and seeing some incredible events.

Ashley Dashwood the festival’s volunteer co-ordinator said: “I enjoy the festival because it is a great way to see old friends and meet new people. It’s great to give back something to the community which gave me so much.

“The festival is such a popular event and people really appreciate the effort volunteers make to help it happen.”

This year’s Worcester Festival is jam packed with more than 700 events from colouring competitions to sculpture trails, craft workshops to guided tours, Percy the Peacock to marching bands.
