Bryan Adams to perform in Worcester in the 'Summer of 17'

Worcester Editorial 28th Nov, 2016   0

MULTI-PLATINUM rock legend Bryan Adams will be taking to the stage at Sixways next summer.

The Canadian superstar, who rose to fame with a string of hits in the 1980s, will sing ‘Summer of 69’ and ‘Run to You and Heaven’ on Friday, July 14.

Adams released his debut single in 1978 and, following his eighties success, went on to make headlines across the world in 1991 when he topped the UK singles charts for a record-breaking 16 weeks with ‘(Everything I Do) I Do It For You’ – a record which still stands today.

He has been nominated for 17 Grammy Awards, inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2011.

“I’m delighted to be continuing my tour and heading to Worcester next summer,” said Adams.

“It will give me an opportunity to perform tracks from my latest album ‘Get Up’, as well as some of my earlier classics. It’s going to be a special show and I hope my fans are able to join me,” he added.

The Sixways gates will open at 6pm and tickets cost £49 for standing and £59 for seated.

Tickets will be available to pre-order this Friday (December 2).
