Brewing up £15k for Macmillan

Worcester Editorial 11th Oct, 2019   0

EMPLOYEES at npower’s office in Worcester held a fund-raising festival in celebration of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and their charity partner of 15 years, Macmillan Cancer Support.

The office hosted cake and sweet stalls, a samosa sale and a raffle with impressive prizes up for grabs to help raise lots of money, all in the name of charity.

The aim was for each site to raise more than £1,000 in the hope, once matched by the energy giant, to raise £15,000 for the charity.

Volunteer Dan Brown who helped organise the party at the Oak House site, said: “What a wonderful way to round off the week with our Coffee Morning birthday bash, raising more than £1,400 towards the fundraising total.

“I can vouch for the fact that the team have worked tirelessly to host such a fantastic event and it means so much to me with how generous people have been with their time and contributions,” he added.
