BISHOP Perowne CE College has welcomed new deputy headteacher Ben Lewis, who brings a wealth of experience to the school.
Mr Lewis joins Bishop Perowne from Ninestiles School, an academy in Birmingham, and will be teaching History and PRSE, as well as overseeing safeguarding and the pastoral care of the students.
He will also be working with pupils from local primary schools introducing them to the secondary school experience and helping them to prepare for the move up.
“Despite everything the students have been through with their education over the past six months, they have all settled back into learning in school extremely quickly,” he said.
“This is testament to how the teaching students receive at Bishop ensures a structured education is received whether students are learning in school or at home.
“My initial priorities have been to make sure all students and parents feel comfortable and safe with the changes the school has had to make and I have a number of plans to help with Bishop Perowne’s aim to ensure students receive an education that changes their lives for the better.”
Ben Lewis lives in Worcester with his family and is a season ticket holder for the Worcester Warriors.
