A RURAL village pub named after the 13th century bishop of Worcester is going under the hammer at the next Bond Wolfe Auctions online auction at the end of this month.

The Walter De Cantelupe Inn in Kempsey comes with a guide price of £350,000.

The freehold public house, which has high ratings for its food and bed-and-breakfast rooms, will appear in the livestreamed auction next Wednesday (March 31).

Ian Tudor, managing director of Bond Wolfe Auctions, said: “This is a rare opportunity to acquire a characterful village pub in a desirable village location, with the potential to extend.
