ASPIE hope open day will kick off Platinum jubilee festivities

Worcester Editorial 27th May, 2022   0

DEVOTED volunteers at a much-loved Worcester charity will throw open their doors for an open day to mark the Platinum Jubilee.

ASPIE will hold the event on Saturday (May 28) from midday to 5pm at their new home at Vesta Tiller House on Lowesmoor Wharf.

It’s the latest celebration for the charity which celebrated its 10th birthday in September and moved to larger premises in November – a huge operation for a small charity.

While the celebrations are ongoing, ASPIE’s work continues to be preserving the lives of Asperger adults not able to make sense of the world in normal times and who have been hit so much harder hit by the pandemic’s backlash on health, the economy, education and employment.

The event will allow visitors to meet the co-founders, counsellors, mentors, members and possibly the stars of charity’s Aspie Avengers football team.
