Artists’ exhibition is a hive of activity

A SPECIAL exhibition has brought bees into The Hive.

The Outrider exhibition features work from nine artists commissioned to respond to the historical Watkins collection of bee keeping publications and photographs which are housed in Hereford Library.

The display will run until next Wednesday (March 25) and can be seen between 8.30am and 10am.

Laura Worsfold, business development manager at The Hive, said: We have become a really popular venue for exhibitions. The natural light and high ceiling in our atrium make it an ideal space, and our daily footfall does guarantee good exposure.

“We really hope that lots of people will come and have a look and that it will draw new people into the building.”

The artists, which include University of Worcester graduate Becca Harris, have created work that relates to the bee keeping archive and it’s contemporary environmental problems and issues facing us today.

A free talk will also be held on Monday (March 23) at 10.30am which can be booked on to by emailing [email protected] Outrider is an Arts England Libraries fund exhibition, curated by Dr Sally Payen and managed by Salt Road for Herefordshire Council.
