Appeal after vehicle hits house on Bromwich Road

THREE people were taken to hospital with serious injuries after a vehicle left the road and hit a house on Bromwich Road last night (Sunday).

The incident happened at about 10.40pm on Bromwich Road when a vehicle left the road, colliding with a house.

There has been damage to both the property and vehicles in the property’s driveway however no-one in the house was hurt.

Investigating officer PC Diane Stevens said: “Several passengers in the car suffered injuries with three attending hospital for serious injuries and one in is still in critical condition. The 30 year old driver of the car, a black BMW X6, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, drink and drug driving and he remains in police custody.




“As a result of collision, a gas line has been ruptured and as a precaution, the neighbouring property has been safely evacuated while engineers repair the damage.

“We continue to remain at the scene investigating the incident and would ask that anyone with information, dash-cam or ring bell footage to please call 101 quoting reference 710i of 19 December”
