Apartheid protest to take place in Worcester tomorrow

LOCAL Palestine solidarity activists will be protesting outside Tesco Express on Foregate Street in Worcester tomorrow morning (Saturday).

This is part of a Don’t Buy Apartheid day of action calling for the boycott of Israeli goods and Coca Cola.

Sam Iqbal, Worcester Palestine Solidarity chair, said: “Israeli fresh produce such as avocados, oranges, herbs and dates are grown in illegal settlements on stolen Palestinian land. When businesses in Britain sell this produce they are supporting Israel’s land theft and ethnic cleansing.

“There is a Coca Cola regional distribution centre in an illegal Israeli settlement in occupied Jerusalem. It is therefore helping to entrench Israel’s military occupation and colonisation of Palestinian land. We will be out in the city to encourage people to buy an apartheid-free alternative.”
