CHARITIES across Worcester are being invited to apply to be the chosen charity for the 2020 Worcester Music Festival

Every year the festival chooses to support a different local charity, raising money over the course of the musical weekend, which next year will take place from September 11 to 13.

During 2019’s event, the three-day celebration of music and art raised an astonishing £5,216.38 for Worcester Foodbank.

Nikki Boraston, festival director, said: “Last year, the festival chose Worcester Foodbank as our chosen charity and it really was a great cause.

“Each year, more and more families end up in crisis and rely heavily on the invaluable support offered by the foodbank. It was important to every member of the committee to support the initiative that supports the most vulnerable members of our local community.”
