A tree-mendous way to help Worcestershire childhood cancer trust

Worcester Editorial 18th Dec, 2022   0

FUND-RAISERS at the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust have launched their third Treecycling campaign to raise much-needed funds to support local families fighting childhood cancer.

The charity’s festive volunteers will be collecting from January 11 to January 14 around Worcestershire alongside the #bemorefrank team who will be covering areas in Hereford.

The Trust’s 2023 campaign is kindly sponsored by GL and Thursfields Solicitors, and is supported by lots of local business collectors including: Redditch Vehicle Hire, Young Farmers Association, Track Pod, Shires Tree Surgery, Conquest Paving and Landscapes, Middlebrook Media, GJH, Invoco Telecom, The Royal Oak, SME Solicitors, Jackson Family Funeral Directors, The Marquee Company, ETL, City Signs, Clarity Solutions, Dormer Hire Centre, Vietec Challenge Technology, Phoneworcs, Gardens of Reflection, Chessgrove Woodchip and APM Trees.

Tree-mendous tree collectors will cover the following areas: Bromsgrove, Redditch, Barnt Green, Alvechurch, Feckenham, Inkberrow, WR1, WR3, WR4, WR5, WR7, WR9, WR10, St John’s, Crowle, Upton Snodsbury, Broughton Hackett, White Ladies Aston and Drakes Broughton.

Emma Williams, charity and operations manager said: “Our Treecycling campaign is such a win win! No wrestling the tree into the car and no messy needles afterwards.

“Just leave it outside your house on your designated day for collection and we will pick it up and take it to be recycled!

“Having your tree collected means less work for you, it’s good for the environment and supports our fight against childhood cancer by raising valuable funds to support our work.”

The Trust receives no statutory funding so is reliant on their fantastic supporters to help them continue their vital work.
