OVER-the-moon A Level students from Worcester are looking towards their next chapter.
They joined young people from across the country receiving their’ A-Level and BTEC results today (Thursday).
And the city’s schools had much to celebrate.
At King’s Worcester sixth formers celebrated another year of A Level success with over three quarters of students going to leading Russell Group universities including Durham, Exeter, Birmingham and Bristol, with almost all securing their first-choice university place.
Acting head Dr Alison Oliver said: “We are incredibly proud of our students, who have excelled in their A Levels this year, as well as making valuable contributions to our King’s community through sport, co-curricular and the arts. They have approached their studies with dedication and determination, supported by the exceptional teaching and pastoral care offered by our staff. We are excited to watch them as they embark on their journey beyond King’s.”
Many students at Tudor Grange Academy secured places at their first-choice universities, while others are pursuing apprenticeships, employment, and other enriching opportunities. Staff have praised the cohort for their dedication, perseverance, and the positive contributions they’ve made to the school community.
Principal David Butler said: “Tudor Grange Academy Worcester is so proud of our sixth form students and their amazing achievements this year, once again increasing the standards of excellence. We are thrilled our students’ outcomes have been demonstrated by such a positive value-added score reflecting the hard work put in by them and the staff.
“Following on from our “Ofsted outstanding” rating in October 2024, our results have further strengthened with students excelling in a range of A level and BTEC subjects with around half of all university places at Russell Group institutions and several of our students achieving the very top grades. We wish all our amazing students the very best for the future and look forward to hearing about their continued success.”
