A chance to show support

Worcester Editorial 28th Jul, 2020   0

WARRIORS have produced special T-shirts to help support the inspirational recovery of injured lock Michael Fatialofa from a serious neck injury.

The cotton T-shirts, which have a FATS 5 logo, are now on sale and are available in navy or white (men and ladies sizes) or navy and light blue (junior sizes).

The shirts cost £22 for adults and £18 for juniors with all proceeds going to the JustGiving page that has been set up to support Michael and which has so far raised more than £41,000.

Michael was injured shortly after he came on as a replacement in the Gallagher Premiership match against Saracens at Allianz Park in January.

He spent a month in intensive care at St Mary’s Hospital in London followed by four months in the Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital in Aylesbury.

Having made remarkable progress in his recovery, Michael was discharged from hospital in early June and he returned to Sixways two weeks later.

He has continued his rehabilitation at Sixways under the supervision of Ryan Kehoe, Warriors’ head of medical, and with financial and practical support from the club.
