16-year-old boy left unconscious after assault in Gheluvelt Park

A 16-YEAR-OLD boy was left unconsciousness after he was assaulted in a Worcester park.

He was walking through Gheluvelt Park towards the tennis courts at about 10pm last Thursday (October 13) when he felt someone grab his shoulder from behind.

The 16-year-old then remembers falling backwards and is believed to have lost consciousness for an unknown amount of time.

When he regained consciousness, he walked through the park toward Pitchcroft, taking the river path along to Sabrina Bridge before attending hospital for treatment for minor injuries.




Officers from West Mercia Police investigating the incident are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or seen suspicious activity in the area at the time, to call them on 101, quoting incident number 795s.
