AN ENGLISH rock star who began a successful career in America is returning home to perform in a popular city bar.

Wreckless Eric will promote his new album ‘amERICa’ at Worcester’s Marr’s Bar on Sunday December, 6 as part of a major UK tour.

With a career spanning more than 38 years, Eric is heading to Worcester to share his American influence after touring every corner of the country during the 70’s and has even moved their permanently since 2011.

Eric recorded the album in his ramshackle house in upstate New York, using electric guitars and bass against a simplistic drum loop of his own creation.

Even his friends, family and wife helped to bring the album to life with their unconventional take on instrumental rock.

Some of the rock classics Eric will be entertaining the audience with include Property Shows, Days Of My Life, Sysco Trucks, Up The Fuselage, Boy Band and White Bread.

Eric said: “I’ve been touring the US since 1978 so moving there wasn’t a complete culture shock.”

“I’ve driven from Rhode Island to San Francisco and Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico. I keep rolling along and sometimes the sunrises and sunsets are glorious and I get to thinking about things like where I’ve been and how did I wind up here?”

Tickets cost £8 in advance and £10 on the door.
