UK's longest running Kate Bush tribute comes to Huntingdon Hall on Saturday

Worcester Editorial 4th May, 2016 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016   0

THE music of Kate Bush will be brought to Huntingdon Hall as part of a critically acclaimed show.

With a highly skilled group of musicians, Cloudbusting is the UK’s longest running tribute and has played in front of audiences across the country

Mandy Watson, who plays Kate, fell in love with the singer’s voice when she saw her on Top of the Pops, but then discovered there was much more to her than her distinctive voice.

She said: “Her lyrics evoke stories and imagery that entwine effortlessly with beautiful challenging melodies.”

With Michael Mayall on keyboards, Jon Norris on guitar, Kevin Cook on drums and Dave Roberts on bass, the band re-create every magical element of a Kate Bush performance with the most authentic emulations available: the electric grand from the Tour of Life, the chugging cellos from Hounds of Love, and the sublime fretless bass from Babooshka.

Mandy captures every nuance of the studio recordings with uncanny precision and negotiates Kate’s wide vocal range with ease.

Cloudbusting – The music of Kate Bush will be at Huntingdon Hall on Saturday, May 7 at 8pm.

Tickets are £15, available from the Box Office on 01905 611427 or visit www.huntingdonhall.co.uk.
