A CELEBRATION of music from one of the world’s most popular duos, The Carpenters, is set to delight fans at Huntingdon Hall next Friday (August 16).
From the producers of the hit musical Forever In Blue Jeans, Voice Of The Heart is a stunning two hour show, recreating some of their classic hits.
Carole Gordon takes the leading role, providing a vocal that is uncannily close to that of Karen Carpenter, and the show’s producer Bob Newman, joins the band
on bass guitar and backing vocals.
The duo, and the creators of the show, have been making music for many years. In their early career they toured with Tammy Wynette both in the UK and
America, and were voted Top British Duo by the British Music Association. Successful appearances on TV have seen them featured on BBC Breakfast and they
have made countless other appearances on BBC 2’s Sing Country which showed the talented twosome on the Wembley Stage amongst many star names from
home and abroad.
With superb vocals from Carole Gordon and the outstanding talent of the exceptional Blue Jeans Band and singers, this musical evening is guaranteed to take Carpenters fans everywhere on a magical musical journey.
