Hillside Cottage

First up on this list is the Hillside Cottage, located in the quaint village of Edington, Wiltshire. This beautiful cottage sleeps up to 12 people, making it the ideal place for a large group to enjoy a weekend away together. Whether you are going on the trip with friends or a couple of families, a stay at the Hillside Cottage will be something that everyone will thoroughly enjoy. The cottage has a traditional exterior and an interior that greets you with a warm and welcoming aura as soon as you step inside the door. Each room has an ensuite with a superb steam shower — perfect for making you feel refreshed after a good night’s sleep in their comfortable beds.

The cottage has a large living room with a fireplace that everyone can cosy up at night, and a fully kitted-out kitchen so you can enjoy your favourite breakfasts and dinners during your stay. There is also a private patio just for you and your guests, which you can use to host a BBQ during the warm summer days whilst you enjoy the scenic grounds and views of the countryside that surrounds the cottage. If you have a little furry friend, then you will be more than welcome to bring them with you, as the Hillside Cottage is dog-friendly.

In addition to the cottage, you will also have access to the Trailhead Cabin — just a short distance from the main building — where you will find another private space for you and your guests to relax. The Trailhead cabin hosts a dartboard, a small kitchen, and a wood-burning stove. One of the best parts of the cabin is the outdoor fire pit that looks over the mesmerising countryside of Wiltshire. The cottage also has access to a small barn, which you find after following a short trail from the main building. The barn boasts a wet and dry sauna, as well as an outdoor hot tub and plunge pool — which you can enjoy as the sun goes down.

Orchard House

Next up on this list is the Orchard House, which sleeps a total of 8 people and was built all the way back in the 1700s. In 2021, it was refurbished to a high standard and now offers guests a warm and cosy experience in the rural English countryside. This country house is located in the centre of Edington village and boasts a fully equipped kitchen so you can host large dinner parties in the evening with all your guests. The Orchard House has beautiful gardens with a set of lounge chairs, a firepit to enjoy the cool nights, and a gas BBQ if you feel like cooking for everyone.

The garden looks out onto the Priory Orchard, full of blossoms during springtime and apples during autumn. The Three Daggers Farm Shop uses these apples to make their very own apple juice, which you can try during your stay here. After a long day exploring the beautiful surroundings of Edington, you can enjoy the open stone fireplace as you settle down for the night. This cottage comes with a range of books and games that you can enjoy and a TV if you feel like having a movie night. There are two bathrooms, one with a bathtub and the other with a marble shower, making your stay as comfortable and luxurious as possible.

Brewhouse

The final cottage on this list is the Brewhouse — also built back in the 1700s — was exquisitely refurbished in 2017. This unique and charming building boasts two double rooms perfect for a family. The Brewhouse has everything you need for a relaxing getaway, including a snug living room with a cast iron fireplace and a comfy sofa. A major selling point of the Brewhouse is the games room, which contains a foosball table, a dartboard, and a range of board games to try out. Both of the rooms are en-suite with walk-in glass showers, adding another touch of luxury to your stay here — and once you experience the calming and relaxing atmosphere of the Brewhouse, you won’t want to leave.
