WORCESTER residents can take a trip back to when life was fun and the music was fab at a special charity night later this month.

John Banner Charitable Promotions presents The Dansette Days, showcasing the 50s and 60s when ballads and rock n roll filled the hit parade, Oh Boy and Six Five Special were on television and singles cost just 6/3p.

The event, which takes place at 8pm on Friday, February 28, at Huntingdon Hall, will include great hits from great artists, paying homage to Billy Fury (Rob Dee) – Halfway To Paradise etc, Dusty Springfield (Vickie Lambert) – Son Of A Preacher Man etc, Helen Shapiro (Liza Starlight) – Walking Back To Happiness etc and Bobby Vee (Steve Conway) – Rubber Ball etc.

This simply is a show not to be missed and the Observer has a pair of tickets to give away.

To be in with a chance of winning simply answer this question. What was the name of this famous Dusty Springfield hit:

a) I Only Want To Be With You

b) I Only Want To Be With Her

c) I Only Want To Be With John Banner

E-mail your answer to [email protected] or write to Worcester Observer, Webb House, Church Green East, Redditch, B98 8BP. Make sure you include your name and a contact telephone number as tickets will be left on the door at Huntingdon Hall.

Anyone who is not lucky enough to win our competition tickets, costing £12.50, are available from the Box Office on 01905 611427.
