Sing along with Grease this Saturday

Worcester Editorial 24th Feb, 2016 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016   0

WHY NOT hand jive and rama lama lama your way through the timeless film Grease with a show at the Swan Theatre.

The sing-along screening of the classic film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John is brought to you by the producers of Sing-a-Long-a Sound of Music.

A chance to sing along to the film’s brilliant, well known tracks, fans can join in with such songs as We Go Together, Tell Me More, Grease Lightning, Born To Hand Jive and Hopelessly Devoted.

Set at Rydell High, wholesome and sweet Sandy falls in love with the coolest guy in school, the charismatic Danny Zuko, leader of the leather-clad, slick-haired T Birds.

With a little help from the coolest girl gang ever, the mischievous Pink Ladies, Sandy embarks on a wild high school romance, with plenty of sock hop-dancing and teenage dreaming along the way.

The show will begin with a vocal warm-up, led by the evening’s host, who will also be demonstrating how to use the ‘magic moments fun pack’.

The audience will even get a chance to learn how to hand jive before sitting back and watching Danny and Sandy and the gang, while singing and dancing along to the lyrics as shown on the screen.

Fancy dress is strongly encouraged and full audience participation is essential!

Sing-a-Long-a Grease will be at the Swan Theatre on Saturday (February 27) at 8pm.

Tickets are £15 (children £10), to book please contact the Worcester Live Box Office on 01905 611 427 or visit www.theswantheatre.co.uk
