A MAN has been arrested after a car was driven into the gates of Downing Street.
The incident took place at 4.20pm today (Thursday), there are no reports of any injuries.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said enquiries were ongoing to establish the circumstances around the incident.
“Armed officers arrested a man at the scene on suspicion of criminal damage and dangerous driving.”
“He has been taken into custody.”
