Looking for something different.. Manor Farm has it

Worcester Editorial 30th Jan, 2017   0

MY PARTNER and I were recently invited to review the new-look Manor Farm restaurant in Worcester.

Having recently been refurbished as a Stonehouse Restaurant in November last year, creating 11 jobs in the process, the popular Malvern Road restaurant spoils its customers for choice by offering an array of pizzas, burgers and roasted carvery meats.

I had been to Manor Farm a few times in my childhood when it was under different management and I was happy to see, despite the facelift, the building still encompassed its rustic barn features, which went hand in hand with its new homely atmosphere.

After being greeted by warm and friendly staff we were shown to our table, before being offered to chose three courses off their wide-ranging menu.

For starters, I chose the spicy coated shrimp drizzled in sweet chilli sauce, which was served with salad and a lemon wedge.

Fresh and crisp with a zingy flavour, the shrimp went down a treat, whilst my partner enjoyed a generous portion warm and fluffy dough balls, which was accompanied by a gooey garlic dipping sauce.

We both had pizzas for mains from the restaurants new ‘pizza station’, where you get to see the chefs cook the pizza from scratch in an open kitchen.

I chose sweet chilli chicken, which was succulent and tender and topped withmozzarella, peppers and red onions.

My girlfriend chose the reggae reggae pizza topped with chicken breast pieces, sweetcorn, red onion, peppers and pineapple, which she described as having a jerk-style kick that encompassed the finest of Caribbean cuisine.

For desert I indulged in a chocolate brownie smothered in Belgian chocolate sauce and vanilla flavoured ice cream sprinkled with Oreo cookie crumb.

If you have sweet tooth, this is the perfect desert, although my partner’s choice of bottomless ice cream is the obvious alternative as you can add all the flavours and toppings you desire.

With two delicious three course meals for less than £40, Manor Farm offers quality food in a family-friendly environment that won’t break the bank.

I can’t recommend the restaurant enough, it is without doubt one of the best establishments Worcester has to offer and I’ll definitely be returning in the near future.
