Worcester Editorial 10th Jan, 2014 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016

AFTER appearing on BBC One’s Live At The Apollo and starring in his own BBC Radio 4 series Andrew Lawrence is bringing his latest stand-up show to Huntingdon Hall on Friday (January 17).

The flame haired comedian is renowned for his squeaky voice and bleak outlook on life and is at his best when he is cross. In fact the highlights of his show are his rants!

His latest show, There Is No Escape, is packed full of new material set to have the audience in stitches.

Lawrence started his stand-up career at the University of St Andrews where was a popular performer at its regular comedy night.

His university debut then saw him move onto the Edinburgh fringe, where he was runner up in the 2003 So You Think You’re Funny competition and subsequent wins of the Amused Moose Starsearch, York Comedy Festival New Act of the Year Competition and the BBC’s New Act of the Year Competition in 2004 confirmed him as an emerging talent on the UK comedy scene.

Since then he has gone from strength to strength touring widely in the UK and internationally.

Lawrence’s Huntingdon Hall show starts at 8pm and tickets are £15. To book call the box office on 01905 611427 or log onto
