AWARD-winning jazz guitarist and composer Martin Taylor has teamed up with acoustic and slide guitar virtuoso Martin Simpson for a tour across the UK including one night in Worcester.
The pair will share the stage throughout the performance next Wednesday (November 28), adding to each other’s songs and instrumental pieces and taking them to new levels.
Martin Taylor MBE was mentioned on BBC Radio 2’s Breakfast Show as being considered the best guitarist by well-known English guitarist Jeff Beck and has enjoyed a musical career spanning five decades.
He has collaborated with musicians from many different musical genres including Stephane Grappelli, Chet Atkins, Bill Wyman, George Harrison, Dionne Warwick, Diane Schuur and Jamie Cullum.
Widely acknowledged as one of the finest acoustic and slide guitar players in the world, Martin Simpson has the most nominations of any performer in the 18 years of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, 12 of those as Musician of the Year, an accolade that he twice went on to win.
Tickets for the show at Huntingdon Hall are £20 and available from the Worcester Live Box Office on 01905 611427.
