PEOPLE who share their birthday with the Drayton Manor theme park which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year can have a free stay at the onsite 4-star hotel and free entry to the park.

A limited number of overnight stays and park entries are up for grabs to lucky guests.

The hotel, which first opened to the public in August 2011, is located just a few minutes’ walk away from the entrance to the popular theme park, and contains 150 bedrooms, including 15 Thomas & Friends™ themed rooms, featuring the park’s much-loved character.

To kick off the birthday festivities in style, the family destination will be offering a number of its popular Stay and Play packages which include an overnight stay in the hotel, full English breakfast and theme park tickets for the whole family. The free stays are available in one of the hotel’s spacious family rooms, for up to two adults and two children, as long as one member of the group has the birthdate of August 15.

To be in with a chance of bagging a room and tickets, applicants celebrating their birthdays this Sunday just need to visit the website draytonmanorhotel.co.uk/10th-birthday-competition/ between 15 and 18 August and enter their details. A prize draw will be held to select the ten winners. Winners will be required to provide proof of their date of birth to redeem their free stay and entry tickets.

As well as relaxing in a complimentary hotel room, lucky guests will also get access to the hotel’s evening entertainment on weekends and during Staffordshire holidays, as well as guest appearances at breakfast from the Fat Controller himself.

To extend the celebrations, guests will be able to spend a fun-filled day at the park, to enjoy the 100+ rides and attractions, 15-acre zoo and Europe’s only Thomas Land, home to 25 Thomas & Friends™ themed attractions.

Sea farers young-and-old will be able to enjoy the newly launched Adventure Cove, a nautical themed area for the whole family to explore. Featuring three new rides and attractions guests will get the chance to take an exhilarating journey through a cartoon-style fishing port on the all-new River Rapids, soar through the sky and feel the ocean breeze on the Wave Swinger, or scale new heights on the Tidal Towers adventure rope bridges and slides.

William Bryan, managing director at Drayton Manor Park, said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating a special birthday for Drayton Manor Hotel this month, which has provided families with so many fun and happy memories over the last 10 years.
