Folk duo stop off at the Hall

Worcester Editorial 4th Feb, 2020   0

YORKSHIRE folk duo Belinda O’Hooley and Heidi Tidow will be making a trip to Worcester later this month as the city hosts one of just eight dates on their national tour.

The pair have newfound fame for penning the theme tune for Sally Wainwright’s hit BBC1/HBO drama ‘Gentleman Jack’, earning them TV appearances, an interview on Radio 4 Woman’s Hour and concerts which sell out months in advance.

Their eight date tour is a celebration of the success of their song and their work with Wainwright, with whom they shared their deep appreciation of the rugged Northern landscape they all grew up in.

O’Hooley and Tidow’s boundless songwriting has been described as exceptional and ‘defiant, robust, northern, poetical, political folk music for the times we live in.’

Their journey across the UK calls at Worcester’s Huntingdon Hall on Thursday, February 27.
