Festival warm-up takes to the stage

THE WOO Festival warm-up will be coming to The Marrs Bar in Worcester next Friday, March 29, where guests can enjoy a night of music and support St Richard’s Hospice at the same time.

The event will get under way at 7.30pm and will feature an array of bands including Chewie, In Evolution, The Leaking Machine and Speak, Brother.

This performance is in preparation for the fifth annual Woo Festival at the Drum and Monkey on July 6.

Last year’s festival was nominated in two categories at the UK Festival Awards after it raised more than £12,000 for St Richard’s.

Tickets to the event are £7.50 or £10 on the door with all proceeds going to the Worcester hospice.

Festival organiser Luke Simons said he was looking forward to the event and expected a great night of live music.

Hospice fund-raiser Claire James added: “We are very grateful to the festival team for all their incredibly hard work in supporting our hospice care.”

Tickets to the warm-up event are £7.50 in advance or £10 on the door.
