Family fun with Alice in Wonderland

Worcester Editorial 9th Aug, 2017   0

THE MYSTERIOUS fantasy adventure of Alice in Wonderland will be performed at the city’s Swan Theatre as part of the Worcester Festival.

Families are invited to follow Alice’s journey through the fantastical ‘Wonderland’ in this much-loved magical adventure which will be performed on Saturday, August 19.

Chasing a mysterious white rabbit with a pocket watch, Alice tumbles down a rabbit hole where she meets an array of colourful characters.

A lively tea party, an unusual game of croquet and a nail-biting trial to find out who stole a very special plate of jam tarts creates a perfect afternoon of fun, laughter and music.

Based on Lewis Carroll’s 1865 fantasy novel, the tale is considered to be one of the best examples of the literary nonsense genre.

Produced by award-winning children’s theatre company Tread the Boards Theatre – who won the ‘Best Children’s Production’ at the Edinburgh Fringe 2015 – this theatrical masterpiece is fun for all the family.

The event runs from 1pm to 5pm and costs £12 for adults, £10 for children and £38 for a family ticket.

Call the theatres’ Box Office on 01905 611427 or visit www.worcesterlive.co.uk for more information.
