Experience ELO tribute at Swan

Worcester Editorial 29th Mar, 2017   0

ACCLAIMED tribute band The ELO Experience are heading to Worcester to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the legendary album ‘Out of the Blue’.

In 2016, Jeff Lynne’s ELO came back to prominence with the release of a brand new album, ‘Alone In The Universe’.

And now The ELO Experience are also returning with their ‘Back Into The Blue Tour’, which will see them perform at the Swan Theatre on Tuesday (April 4).

The ELO Experience capture the legacy left by Jeff Lynne and The Electric Light Orchestra, who barely need an introduction – suffice to say that between 1972 and 1986 they achieved more combined UK and US Top 40 hits than any other band on the planet!

Their songs included ‘10538 Overture’, ‘Evil Woman’, ‘Living Thing’, ‘Diary of Horace Wimp’, ‘Don’t Bring me Down’ and of course, ‘Mr Blue Sky’ – which went on to become the soundtrack of the era.

Blending rock rhythms with classical influences, ELO also released many classic albums such as ‘A New World Record’, ‘Discovery’ and ‘Out of the Blue’, establishing them as one of the most important and influential bands of the time.

Formed more than seven years ago, The ELO Experience are the foremost tribute to this great band.

With a stunning light show and large screen projection to further enhance the experience, the band accurately reproduce the songs and sounds that will take you on a musical journey through time.

The event starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £22.

Call the venue’s Box Office on 01905 611427 or visit www.worcesterlive.co.uk for more information.
