Eagles tribute Talon soaring high at the Swan

Rob George 28th Aug, 2018

OVER the last two decades Talon has risen from humble beginnings to become one of the most successful touring theatre shows in the UK.

The Greatest Hits Tour 2018 will once again feature the Eagles’ timeless back catalogue, including Hotel California, Take It Easy, One Of These Nights, Take It To The Limit, Desperado, Lyin’ Eyes, Life In The Fast Lane and many more.

Who would have thought back in September 1997, when Peter Anderson and Chris Lloyd first began the process of forming Talon, that the band would end up where it is today?

Who would have thought in 1994, whilst Lloyd and Anderson were in the recording studio, that a then fifteen year old tea boy called Jonny Miller would go on to make his Talon debut at the dawn of the new millennium and mature into a truly world class performer and ultimately be joined on the Talon front-line in 2003 by the towering talent of Tony Vegas?

Who would have then thought that in 2008 the band would acquire the awesome ex-Wishbone Ash man Keith Buck, and that only two years later a young fresh faced drummer called Charlie Kenny would stroll into the audition room and blow everyone away?

And finally, who would have thought that in 2014 fate would announce the arrival of Jonny’s little brother and keyboard maestro Freddie Miller, and ‘The Magnificent Seven’ would be complete?!

This world class seven-piece band is a phenomenon and has truly transcended the tag of ‘tribute’.

Talon take to the stage at the Swan Theatre next Thursday and Friday (September 6 and 7) from 7.30pm.

Tickets are £22.50 and available through the Worcester Live Box Office on 01905 611427.
