Charismatic Sanchez ready to light up Huntingdon Hall

Worcester Editorial 16th Dec, 2013 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016   0

ONE OF the most exciting and charismatic performers of rhythm and blues and rock ‘n’ roll in the world today is set to light up Huntingdon Hall on Thursday (December 19).

With a bit of Little Richard and a lot of Gerry Lee Lewis, British singer and pianist Mike Sanchez is that rocking and reeling keyboard player from deepest Worcestershire.

Performing with his incredible band, his indelible image as a frenetic front man, pumping powerful boogie-woogie from the piano, has won him fans from all over the world and attracted a following from many famous rock and blues legends who have lined up to work with him.

He enjoyed four years as a full-time member of Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings, and in December 2007 was invited to appear as a guest vocalist at the final Led Zeppelin reunion when he performed alongside such soul legends as Ben E King, Percy Sledge and Sam Moore.

His band’s performances continuously receive fabulous reviews throughout the blues and rockin’ scenes across the UK and Europe.

So, stand by for the hottest rhythm and blues groove this side of Kansas City when the Bewdley boogie boy and his band take the roof off Huntingdon Hall.

Tickets for the show which starts at 8pm cost £16.50 and available from the Box Office on 01905 611427.
