Chance to see The Nutcracker

Worcester Editorial 8th Nov, 2017   0

EVERYONE’S favourite Christmas ballet production, The Nutcracker, is being brought to life at Worcester’s Swan Theatre this festive season.

Taking place next Wednesday, November 15, one of Tchaikovsky’s most famous and well-loved traditional ballet productions will be performed by 24 international dancers from the Ballet Theatre UK.

The Nutcracker recounts the adventures of a young girl called Clara on the night before Christmas, when after falling asleep with her nutcracker, an army of mice attack her toys.

Clara and her nutcracker then travel together to the ‘Land of the Sweets’ where the Sugar Plum Fairy is reunited with her prince – and where the magic of Christmas is born.

Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable musical score combines magical choreography, exquisite costumes and breathtaking scenery, that together creates an atmosphere of fantasy and illusion.

With grand sets and stunning costumes, The Nutcracker promises to be brighter and more splendid than ever before, making it a must-see highlight on the Christmas calendar for the whole family.

This truly is a ballet production that will leave you with a sense of warmth and treasured memories this festive season.

The event starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £17.50 for adults, £15 for concessions and £12.50 for children under 16.
