Bringing back the hits of Wham

Worcester Editorial 3rd Sep, 2019   0

WORCESTER music lovers are being invited back to the 80s for The Best of Wham!, a brand new concert show at the Swan Theatre.

The very best of George, Andrew, Pepsi and Shirlie will be on offer on Saturday, September 21 from 7.30pm with Ben Evans taking to the stage as one of music’s most endearing icons.

It’s been 37 years since George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley formed one of the most enduring pop groups of the 80s and in four short years Wham! sold more than 28 million records, topping the charts with three albums, four number one singles and eleven top ten hits.

This new show from Sweeney Entertainments stars Ben Evans, performing as George Michael. Ben started his career at the age of eight performing in roles including Gavroche in Les Miserables, and both the roles of Oliver and the Artful Dodger in Oliver!

This non-stop 80s party will get audiences singing and dancing to all the greatest hits including ‘Wake Me Up Before You Go Go’, ‘Freedom’ and ‘I’m Your Man’.
