ONE OF the world’s most prolific fiddle groups is heading to Worcester to showcase the excitement, passion and sensitivity of true Scottish music.
The renowned Blazin’ Fiddles will perform at the city’s Huntingdon Hall on Thursday, November 24, where they will share the rare opportunity to hear the regional expressions from Scotland’s Highlands and islands.
With a wealth of experience gathered over more than 17 years, the individual style of each fiddler, including Inverness’ Bruce MacGregor, Shetlander Jenna Reid, Nairn’s Rua Macmillan and Orcadian Kristan Harvey, blends into one.
Fiddles and bows come alight atop guitar and piano from Anna Massie and Angus Lyon, delivering a musically intoxicating evening for all.
The band have scooped a number of awards, including the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards Live Act and most recently Folk Band of the Year 2013/14.
They also played at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the world’s largest arts festival, in August 2016.
Whatever the hall, be it in a Highland village or London’s Royal Albert, this legendary, multi award-winning act never fails to set the hearts of their audiences alight.
The event starts at 8pm and tickets cost £18.
