A definitive look at Genesis tracks

Worcester Editorial 22nd Nov, 2016   0

THE LONG and colourful history of Genesis will be recreated during a night of live music at Huntingdon Hall.

G2 Definitive Genesis will perform the classic Seconds Out period of the popular band, tending towards the four man era.

In the mid-1970s, Peter Gabriel had recently departed to pursue his solo career, only to be replaced by their own relatively unknown ‘singing’ drummer, Phil Collins.

Rather than being doomed to failure, the four-man era of Hackett, Banks, Rutherford and Collins lifted the band’s fame to even greater heights with the studio albums Trick Of The Tail and Wind & Wuthering.

Successive world tours finishing with three sold out shows at London’s Earls Court and the subsequent release of their double live album Seconds Out lifted the band to supergroup status.

G2 Definitive Genesis will be at Huntingdon Hall on Saturday, November 26 at 8pm.

Tickets are £20 (concessions £18) at www.worcesterlive.co.uk or call the Box Office on 01905 611427.
