A NEW pedestrian refuge island is being installed on Bilford Road in Worcester.
The refuge will be located on Bilford Road as it crosses the canal, east of the Household Recycling Centre. It is hoped this dedicated crossing point will make it easier for pedestrians to cross the road.
To allow the works to be carried out safely, Bilford Road over the canal will be closed to vehicles from Monday July 20 to Sunday July 26. Clearly signed diversion routes will be in place throughout the closure.
The Household Recycling Centre and Leisure Centre will remain open during the works.
Access to both facilities will be via the A38 Droitwich Road side only.
rivers are advised to plan their journeys in advance and allow additional time for travel while the works are underway.
