YOUNG readers at a Worcester primary school have been restocking their library shelves for World Book Day.
Honeywell Primary School received a £250 donation from housebuilder Taylor Wimpey West Midlands to buy the books.
World Book Day, which took place on Thursday March 5, has been celebrated for more than 30 years and aims to encourage young people to discover the joy of reading.
A spokesperson for Honeywell Primary School said: “We would like to thank Taylor Wimpey for their donation as it has helped us grow our library for our pupils to enjoy. It has not only enriched the school’s resources but also directly supported their educational journey.”
Ben Walker from Taylor Wimpey added: “We are committed to supporting the communities in which we build, especially local schoolchildren, and we are delighted to support Honeywell Primary in celebration of this year’s World Book Day and hopefully encourage a real love of books and reading.”
Taylor Wimpey West Midlands is currently building new homes close to Honeywell Primary School, at its Regency Gate development.
