Housing advice available for Worcester residents at drop-in event

FREE housing advice and support is available for Worcester residents at a drop-in event.

A range of local services will be on hand at the Guildhall on Monday October 20 , from 10am to 1pm. The event will provide a convenient one-stop opportunity for people to access a wide variety of help and information regarding any housing issues.

Representatives from housing associations Platform and Citizen will be there to answer housing-related questions.

Residents can also speak to Worcester City Council’s revenues and benefits team for financial guidance and get support from the Citizens Advice Bureau.

Other organisations attending include Worcester City Council’s homelessness team, private sector housing, and community safety teams, along with Worcestershire Regulatory Services, the police, and the fire service.

The city council’s communities committee chair Coun Jabba Riaz said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Worcester residents to learn more about the housing support available to them in the city.

“Whether you’re facing a housing issue and unsure where to turn, or have a concern in your community you’d like to discuss, this event brings together a wide range of services ready to help.

“The aim of this event is to be a one-stop shop for tenants who would like support, advice and guidance.

“This is the first time that the city council has held a multi-agency housing workshop event of this type.

“With so many local partners involved, it’s a great chance to discover what’s available.”
