DROITWICH’S Rik Mayall Comedy Festival is set for a return in 2026, organisers have announced.

Following the success of the inaugural event in 2025, which featured over 200 performances across 30 venues, the festival will be held from May 29 to June 6, 2026.

The 2025 festival saw a wide range of performances, screenings, panel events, and workshops, attracting comedy fans from across the country.

Three quarters of headline shows, which were held at The Norbury Theatre, sold out this year with performances from Greg Davies, Peter Richardson and Helen Lederer drawing the crowds.

Plans for the 2026 festival are already underway, with organisers aiming to expand the offerings and include more venues and activities.

The festival’s official website and social media channels will provide updates and information as the event approaches.

Local businesses and venues interested in participating or sponsoring the festival are encouraged to get in touch with the organisers.

The festival aims to not only celebrate Rik Mayall’s comedic genius but also to boost the local economy and provide entertainment for residents and visitors alike.

Once again, the event is expected to be a highlight of Droitwich Spa’s cultural calendar, offering a week of laughter and celebration in honour of one of the UK’s most beloved comedians.
