Worcester Royal nursery achieves 'Good' Ofsted rating

A WORCETSER nursery has been awarded a ‘Good’ rating in all areas by Ofsted.

Team members at Partou Worcester Royal Day Nursery and Pre-school have been described as ‘positive and caring towards children while prioritising their safety’ by the inspector.

The report said: “There are clear and consistent expectations and boundaries for children’s behaviour, which emphasises kindness and respect. For example, they encourage children to use good manners.

“Children listen well to instructions and demonstrate an understanding of routines. This helps them to feel happy and confident as they know what is going to happen next.”

The report said the team also works to ensure the setting’s curriculum “is ambitious for all children.”

“When children start nursery, staff learn about what they are interested in and where they are in their development from parents and through regular observations. They use this information to plan effectively, which helps all children to make progress in their individual development.”

Lisa Smith, Partou Worcester Royal Nursery Manager said she was delighted by the rating.

“I am thrilled for the team whose commitment and dedication to the children’s early years development is a central theme of the report.

“We enjoy what we do and aim to the best for the children and families every day – which is what they rightly expect.

“It is terrific that the success of our approach has been recognised by Ofsted.”

Samantha Rhodes, Partou Managing Director, added: “Huge congratulations to Lisa and the entire Partou Worcester Royal team on their achievement.

“The nursery is sited in a particularly special place.  The Ofsted report confirms that the quality of service it offers to local families and NHS staff is worthy of the location.”
